AI checks that sit inside your flows

An AI step reads a chat message or a viewer’s typed-in text and picks a path: yes, no, one of your labelled branches, or unsure. You wire each path to what happens next.

Four ways to use it

Each AI step is a node on the canvas, so you can see where it runs and what follows it.

Wake a flow on meaning. The AI: chat means… trigger starts a flow when chat means something, such as asking what game you’re playing, without an exact command or keyword. See wake a flow when chat means something.
Screen viewer text. AI: text OK to show? checks a quote or a reward’s typed-in text for slurs, sexual content, doxxing and harassment before it’s saved or goes on screen. See screen viewer text with AI.
Moderate with context. The AI moderation step looks for harassment, hate speech, sexual content, scams and a rule you write in a sentence, rather than a list of blocked words. See set up AI moderation.
Branch on a question. AI: yes or no answers a plain-English question about a message, and AI: route by meaning picks one of up to eight branches you describe. See ask the AI judge in a flow.

An example: a reward that shows viewer text

A viewer redeems a reward and types a message to show on stream. The flow checks it first:

Step	What it does
On a reward redeemed	Starts when someone redeems your reward, with the text they typed
AI: text OK to show?, set to Shown on stream	Checks the text before anything shows it
Safe	Shows your redemption alert with their name and their text
Flagged	Keeps the text off screen and asks Twitch to refund the points
Unsure	Goes the same way as Safe, so the reward still works when the check can’t answer

The Check reward text before it goes on stream template is this flow, ready-made. Twitch only refunds points for a reward Bloopbot created; the guide explains what happens otherwise.

You stay in charge of what it does

It never writes a reply. An AI step answers with a path, and the messages chat sees are the ones in your flow.
The checks have an Unsure path for when the AI can’t answer. You decide where it goes.
Run AI moderation in watch mode for a stream first: the AI chat moderation — watch only template records what it would have done in the run log, and says and deletes nothing.
Write your channel’s own rule in a sentence, such as no discussing other streamers by name.
If the AI times out or can’t be reached, the step falls back to ordinary, non-AI behaviour, so chat is never held up and the flow doesn’t fail.

Check what your channel has

Open Flows and press Your plan. The AI judgments group lists each AI feature and whether your channel includes it. A step your channel doesn’t include still shows in the node library with a lock, so you can see what it would do, and none of them is needed to run Bloopbot.
