# Post to Threads when you go live on Twitch

Bloopbot posts to your Threads profile when your Twitch stream starts, with your title, category and a link card or a picture of the stream, once per stream.

## What your followers see

The starter text is:

Change it to anything you like; **Insert…** adds values such as your title, category and channel link.

- **500 characters.** Longer text is cut with … when it posts.
- **A picture or a link card.** A post with a picture of your stream shows the picture; a text-only post shows a link card for your channel.
- **Up to 5 links**, the link card counting as one unless the same link is already in your text.
- Threads allows 250 posts every 24 hours on a profile, on top of Bloopbot's 10 an hour.

## The flow

The **Socials** pack's **Post to Threads when you go live** is four steps you can open and change:

1. **Stream starts or ends**, set to **Live**.
2. **Variable is**: this stream hasn't been announced on Threads yet.
3. **Post to Threads**, with the text, the picture or link card, and a live preview of the post.
4. **Set a variable**: remember this stream once Threads confirms the post.

So a short disconnect doesn't post twice, and your next stream gets a fresh post. A **Post to Threads** step works after any trigger, so a milestone or a command can post too.

## Set it up

1. Open **Connections**, choose **Threads** and press **Connect Threads**. Approve Bloopbot on Threads: it asks to read your profile name and publish posts for you.
2. On **Flows**, press **Add** and add the **Socials** pack. Its flows install paused.
3. Open **Post to Threads when you go live** and press **Send test post** to see the real post on your profile.
4. Switch the flow on.

Posting to Threads may not be available on your channel yet. **Connections** shows which networks your channel can connect.
