# Post to your Facebook Page when you go live on Twitch

Bloopbot posts to your Facebook Page when your Twitch stream starts, with your title, category, a picture of the stream and a link to your channel, once per stream.

## What your followers see

The starter text is:

Change it to anything you like; **Insert…** adds values such as your title, category and channel link.

- **A picture or a link preview.** Leave **Show a link card** on to add a link preview under a text post. On a post with a picture of your stream, Bloopbot puts the link in the photo's caption.
- **Room to write.** A Facebook post can be very long, so the go-live post is never cut short.

## The flow

The **Socials** pack's **Post to Facebook when you go live** is four steps you can open and change:

1. **Stream starts or ends**, set to **Live**.
2. **Variable is**: this stream hasn't been announced on Facebook yet.
3. **Post to Facebook**, with the text, the picture or link card, and a live preview of the post.
4. **Set a variable**: remember this stream once Facebook confirms the post.

So a short disconnect doesn't post twice, and your next stream gets a fresh post. A **Post to Facebook** step works after any trigger, so a milestone or a command can post too.

## Set it up

1. Open **Connections**, choose **Facebook** and press **Connect Facebook**. On Facebook, choose the Pages you allow Bloopbot to use. You need a role on the Page that lets you create posts.
2. If you allowed more than one Page, pick the one to post to and press **Connect this Page**. One Page is connected at a time; **Reconnect Facebook** switches it.
3. On **Flows**, press **Add** and add the **Socials** pack. Its flows install paused.
4. Open **Post to Facebook when you go live** and press **Send test post**. It is a real, public post on your Page, which you can delete in Facebook.
5. Switch the flow on.

Posting to Facebook may not be available on your channel yet. **Connections** shows which networks your channel can connect.
